FlashArt Festival 2026 | Open Call

FlashArt Festival returns to Rialto Theatre for its seventh consecutive year and is now accepting applications for its 2026 Open Call, inviting artists and creative teams to submit proposals for this year's edition, taking place in Limassol from 25–29 November 2026.

Originally launched in 2020 as an immediate response to the impact of the pandemic on Cyprus' artistic community, FlashArt has evolved into a dynamic festival dedicated to supporting and showcasing contemporary Cypriot artistic creation. Through its annual open call, it has become an established platform for the presentation of new work across the performing arts.

Today, FlashArt Festival serves as a vibrant meeting point for artists, audiences and diverse artistic practices, fostering collaboration, artistic research and innovation.

The 2026 edition seeks to present original productions that bring together theatre, dance, music, performance and contemporary artistic practices, with a particular emphasis on interdisciplinary work and the integration of digital media.

Who Can Apply

The Open Call is addressed to individual artists, artistic collectives and organisations working within the performing arts.

Applicants may submit proposals for new or existing productions that have not been presented before 2024. Selected productions must receive their Limassol premiere as part of the Festival. Performances should have a duration of 30–90 minutes, and applicants must be available throughout the Festival period (25–29 November 2026).

What the Festival Provides

Selected productions will receive:

• Artist fees and a percentage of ticket revenue.

• Technical support and venue services (excluding lighting and sound design).

• Marketing, publicity and promotional support.

Application Process

The application deadline is 26 July 2026.

All proposals will be evaluated by a Selection Committee in collaboration with the General Director of Rialto Theatre. Applicants will be notified of the results by 31 July 2026.
