The 21st Cyprus Rialto World Music Festival returns from 8 to 21 July 2026 as an open invitation to meet through music, reminding us of its power to bring people closer. For more than two decades, it has remained one of Cyprus’ most vibrant intercultural institutions—a space where sound becomes a language of coexistence, exchange and shared experience.
Rooted in the Mediterranean and in Cyprus’ role as a natural crossroads of cultures, the Festival approaches music as something in constant motion—transforming, blending and continuously reshaping itself. This year, the local meets the broader musical landscape through artists from Cyprus and Greece, who carry diverse roots and influences and translate them into contemporary, personal musical narratives. Tradition and experimentation, familiarity and surprise coexist naturally, in an ongoing process of shift and redefinition.
At the same time, the Festival maintains its strong public character, opening space for everyone and investing in the accessibility of the artistic experience, with low ticket prices and free admission to most concerts.
For the first time, the Cyprus Rialto World Music Festival is also part of a broader European network of cultural exchange, through the Rialto Theatre’s active membership and collaboration within the European Festivals Association (EFA).
The programme of the 21st Cyprus Rialto World Music Festival features five concerts taking place between 8 and 21 July 2026, both inside and outside the Rialto Theatre, with a shared starting point: the contemporary dialogue between local creation and global musical influences.
