Two remarkable films are going to be screened this week at the Rialto Theatre
Lara & Die letzte Pointe
“WEEKS OF THE GERMAN LANGUAGE”
Within the framework of the “Weeks of the German Language”, which is organised by the Embassies of Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the Goethe Institut in Cyprus, two interesting films will be screened at the Rialto Theatre this week.
The first film under the title Lara, is going to be screened next Wednesday 11th November, at 20:00. Is a German film, produced in 2019 and it’s duration is 98 minutes.
It is Lara's 60th birthday, and this very evening, her son will be giving his debut solo piano recital. His musical career has always been his mother’s sole focus. But Lara is not welcome to his debut performance. Even if Lara engages, everything gets out of control.

The second film, Die letzte Pointe is a comedy from Switzerland, which produced in 2017. It will be screened on Sunday, 15 November at 20:00 and it’s duration is 99 minutes
At the age of 89, Gertrud Foster is enviably energetic and independent with only one thing in mind when she smiles at the elegant Englishman, who she apparently found on a dating platform, even though she has no memory of doing so: to determine the final stages of her life herself before winding up in a dementia ward.
