The ISFFC concludes with the AWARDS CEREMONY

The tenth anniversary edition of the International Short Film Festival of Cyprus concludes with the Awards Ceremony this coming Friday, October 16th 2020, at the Rialto Theatre, following a rather turbulent week.

The Festival launched its events and screenings last Saturday, however mid-week it had to adjust the theatre capacity to 75 spectators, due to updated protection measures issued by the Ministry of Health due to an increase in covid19 cases.

On Thursday October 15th, and following the justified reactions of the Cypriot theatres and cultural organisations, the Ministry of Health issued an updated announcement, allowing all theatres and cinema halls to return to 50% of their capacity. Therefore, all tickets that have been obtained for the last two festival nights are valid and can be used by their holders. The use of protection mask is mandatory indoors as of 15/10.

The awards ceremony will take place in the outdoor space of the Rialto Theatre, on Friday October 16th at 10.30p.m., right after the final competition screenings. The jury members will announce the winners, while the list of awards is enriched this year with the amount of €2,500, which will accompany the Best Director Award "Ntinos Katsourides" (providing technical equipment for the director’s next short film).
