The 21st Cyprus Rialto World Music Festival opens on Wednesday, 8 July 2026, at 21:00, on the stage of the Rialto Theatre, with Martha Frintzila, The Kubara Project and the Kalogeraki Bros, marking the beginning of a festival dedicated to the meeting of diverse musical worlds and contemporary artistic expression.
Following the warm reception of their performance at the Rialto Theatre in November 2025, the Kalogeraki Bros return to Limassol, this time joining Martha Frintzila and The Kubara Project in a collaboration that brings together three distinctive creative forces of the contemporary Greek music scene.
As the acclaimed Greek poet Giorgos Chronas writes:
"I call on our companions to follow. The waves do not frighten us. Let the buses stand still—we will cross to the other shore on foot. Come, let us build together a barrier against the river of indifference that threatens to swallow us."
Having evolved over more than twenty years of concerts and international touring, The Kubara Project arrives at the Cyprus Rialto World Music Festival with the spontaneity and warmth that have defined it since its very first appearance. Led by Martha Frintzila at the height of her artistic maturity and joined by a group of exceptional musicians whose close personal bonds are reflected in their performance, the production weaves intimate stories with shared human experiences, exploring love, friendship, loneliness, desire, our relationship with others, and the growing violence against nature.
The concert's musical journey brings together songs by some of the most significant Greek and international composers of the past two centuries, alongside original material from the personal discography of Martha Frintzila and the Kalogeraki Brothers, creating a performance where poetry, memory and contemporary expression meet on stage.
