4th Cyprus Choreography Showcase

The 4th Cyprus Choreography Showcase (SΧΚ) returns from 6 to 8 March 2026 at the Rialto Theatre in Limassol, reaffirming its position as the leading platform for the international promotion of contemporary Cypriot choreography.

Held biennially, the Showcase aims to enhance the visibility and international reach of Cyprus’s choreographic production by presenting selected works from the past two years to artistic directors, curators, and festival organizers from abroad. Serving as a vital networking platform, the Showcase fosters opportunities for international collaborations and further artistic mobility.

The SΧΚ is a long-standing initiative of the Deputy Ministry of Culture, co-organized by its Department of Contemporary Culture and the Rialto Theatre. Works are selected by a dedicated Committee, which, after reviewing proposals submitted over the past two years, curates the final program of the Showcase.

In addition to its international dimension, the Showcase offers local audiences the opportunity to experience key contemporary works once again, highlighting the scope, quality, and diversity of the country’s contemporary choreographic scene.

The official opening of the Showcase on Friday 6 March will be accompanied by an opening party featuring DJ Christina Papakyriakou, immediately following the performances of the first evening. The Showcase will culminate on Sunday 8 March with a closing party featuring DJ D-Prank, immediately after the final performance, creating a vibrant space for meeting, exchanging ideas, and meaningful networking among artists and professionals in contemporary dance.

Parallel Program – Meanwhile

The Showcase is once again complemented by the parallel program Meanwhile, organized by the Limassol Dance House, the Nicosia Dance House, and the New Movement.

Meanwhile functions as a platform for exchange, collaboration, and professional networking, emphasizing participatory experiences and embodied encounters. It offers a unique opportunity for dialogue not only among curators and artists but also between Cypriot and international cultural organizations, further strengthening the international dimension of the Showcase.
