Following his celebrated performances at the National Theatre in Burnt by the Sun, The Revenger's Tragedy, Philistines and The Man of Mode, Rory Kinnear plays Hamlet in a dynamic new production of Shakespeare’s complex and profound play about the human condition, directed by Nicholas Hytner. 


He is joined by Clare Higgins (Gertrude), Patrick Malahide (Claudius), David Calder (Polonius), James Laurenson (Ghost/Player King) and Ruth Negga (Ophelia).

The Cyprus Symphony Orchestra celebrates the 150th anniversary of the birth of Richard Strauss, with a Sarabande and a masterpiece for violin, which will be performed by the soloist Wolfgang Schroeder.


In the second half, Ligeti’s Concert Romanesc and also plays of Martinu will be performed.

Conceived as a unique performance combining Opera/Aria and contemporary Theatre, "Fear Industry" "...explores a society increasingly preoccupied with real and manufactured fear and threat. 


The recent work by Achim Wieland, written for and with award-winning actor Marios Ioannou, Elena Kallinikou, and the internationally renowned soprano Marianna Suri, combines contemporary literary works with music for Soprano by Händel, Purcell, Schumann, Pärt, and others.

The Rialto Theatre celebrates 15 years of operation, along with the artist that sealed many of its significant moments. 


He is accompanied by his close collaborator Giorgos Kaloudes. Through many years of cooperation Alkinoos Ioannides and Giorgos Kaloudes, formed a common aesthetic, based on improvisational freedom, the joy of coexisting and the respect of the simplicity and frankness of a song, giving emphasis to the inner tension, interpretative detail and quietude’s spaciousness.

The group established in 2011 and is already successful in Cyprus and abroad with its fresh and dynamic presence, having an important success in winning the title of the best newcomer group in the Songlines Music Awards of 2014. 


Re-arranging Cypriot traditional songs, they add their personal color and emotion while also composing songs in the Cypriot dialect, inspired by the modern life of Cyprus.

The siblings Kiya and Ziya Tabassian of Persian origin are researching and interpreting the musical traditions of the East.


Illuminating East and West, the band was established in 1998 in Montreal as a forum for the crossroad of traditions. During the last decade, the group has performed 35 new concerts in about 120 cities in 22 countries.


The virtuoso musicians of sitar and tombak collaborate with great instrument players from all over the world, like the virtuoso oud musician and composer Kyriako Kalaitzides from Salonica, Greece.

Rialto’s Institution goes on for this year as well.


The musical traditions of Persia and the East are the benchmark and meeting point this year of different musicians from Persia, Greece and Cyprus.


Through residing and studying together, the artists develop a renewed reading of various musical traditions, aiming at a new common approach.


The result is presented at the Cultural Centre of Platres.

Neta Elkayam is a rising artist and musician, who now lives in Jerusalem after her wanderings around the world.


Her musical compositions and interpretations highlight the various musical effects of Israel, reviving traditional music of Jewish North Africa with emphasis on the music of the Jews and Morocco.

Starting this season with Limassol's best rock bands: the 4th annual Rock Festival, organized by the Limassol Co – operative Saving Bank along with the Kanali 6, takes place at the Heroes Square.

They first met in 2009 at the Pablo Casals Festival and since 2010 they have sung together either as a Duo or in collaboration with well-known bands at many festivals. 


Their first recording in 2011 met with incredible critical success. Austria's Ministry of Foreign Affairs chose them to be the Ambassadors of the "New Austria Sound of Music" program in 2014-2015.  


Works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Christoph Ehrenfellener, Richard Strauss.
