The top-notch cultural institution of the Department of Modern and Contemporary Culture will be held between 7 - 29 June 2023
at the Rialto Theatre - Limassol and at Nicosia Municipal Theatre.
The Department of Modern and Contemporary Culture of the Deputy Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with the Rialto Theatre, announces the upcoming 24th edition of Cyprus Contemporary Dance Festival. Silence and words, sounds and music featured in a choreographic panorama, held between 7 and 29 June 2023 at the Rialto Theatre in Limassol and at Nicosia Municipal Theatre. The universal language of dance interconnects the micro- with the macrocosm, against a landscape of memories, dreams and desires.
Cyprus Contemporary Dance Festival is the leading institutional contemporary dance event of the Department of Modern and Contemporary Culture, which was established back in 1998, offering a unique opportunity to the audience to watch the work of pioneering international dance companies, thus significantly contributing to the promotion of contemporary dance in Cyprus.
The Festival’s programme includes performances of a high artistic level staged by dance companies from Cyprus and abroad. This year, the following dance groups from Cyprus, Israel, Belgium, Switzerland and Germany will be participating in this 24th edition of the CCDF:

The dance project representing Cyprus was selected amongst the projects funded by “TERPSICHORE 2022 – A programme supporting contemporary dance creation and research”.
Entrance: €8 per performance and €30 Festival Pass giving access to all performances.
Free entrance to students, soldiers, pensioners and dance professionals.
Free bus transportation from Nicosia to Limassol (+return) during the Festival days.
