Orchestra 4All 3 - Peter and the Wolf - Family Concerts
Cyprus Symphony Orchestra
The Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev created the adventurous musical story Peter and the Wolf in which the instruments of the orchestra “recount” the tale in a unique musical manner, representing the protagonists: little Peter, a bird, a duck, a cat, Peter’s grandfather and a wolf that lurks in the forest!
Come along to meet the joyful and bold strings, a chirping flute, an oboe gliding on the water, a clarinet leaping nimbly on the grass, a slowly walking bassoon with a frown on its face, the menacing horns and the banging timpani!
Maestro Francis Nectarios Guy conducts the orchestra and actor Petros Georkadjis narrates the story.

Yiannis Spanos - I Will Remember You
The songs of Yiannis Spanos are the very structure of a complete concert with a beginning, middle and end.
In this tribute, a wide repertoire will be heard, starting with his “classic” pieces, moving on to the New Wave repertoire, to excerpts from the three “Anthologies”, with the first part ending with his popular hits.
In any tribute to Spanos, one cannot omit his popular compositions, the hits made by Bithikotsis, Dalaras, Moscholiou, Poulopoulos, Parios, Alexiou, Kokotas and Violaris.
The songs of Yiannis Spanos are written for all of us and have certainly accompanied us in some of our personal moments.

Piano Recital – Martino Tirimo
Regarded by both critics and fellow artists as one of today’s most distinguished musicians, Martino Tirimo will present some of the greatest works of the classical repertoire: Beethoven’s 7 Ländlerische Tänze WoO11 and Sonata No.32 in C minor Op.111. Schumann’s Fantasy in C major Op.17 and Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody No.12.
The Daily Telegraph has characterized him as “a pianist of vision” and “an inspiring poet of the piano” and ‘Musical Opinion’ described him as “a true giant of the keyboard”. In Music and Vision, critic Bill Newman simply wrote: “Tirimo's playing belongs to a past generation of 'greats'. Listening to him, I conjure up aural images of Solomon, Arrau, Kempff, Schnabel and Rubinstein. Throughout the evening, one was consistently aware that this supreme musician placed himself entirely at the service of the composer.”
